This 11.8‑ounce (350 ml) Tokoname Youhen clay teapot is made from natural purple clay from the Tokoname region of Japan, fired to a unique metallic‑like lustre through kiln‑change effects. It features a side handle (Kyusu‑type) and a built‑in fine ceramic mesh filter, ideal for brewing sencha or gyokuro. The clay is porous and can soften water quality. For shipping, we use a custom wooden‑frame reinforced box lined with soft foam, securing the body and lid in separate slots. The wooden frame is then placed inside a thick carton filled with rice husks or paper shreds to absorb vibrations, ensuring the pottery remains intact.
